For every student hoping for a snow day there is a parent dreading the thought.  The HPS school closing hotline (621-7020) is updated by 6:00AM should school be called off.   If you need an excuse to get online this link will give all the school closings in SW Michigan.  For a list of other Hotlines provided by HPS click here.

How about a Friendly Email

  
 

The webmaster feels the Internet is here to stay.  Although newspapers and snail-mail have their place they aren't as fast nor as easy as email.

Hartford Public Schools very much wants to collect the email addresses of the parents of our wonderful students so we may send them useful and timely information at a fraction of the cost of paper.  We promise not to send silly jokes or sell email addresses to unscrupulous spammers.

All parents have to do is send an email to the webmaster at jessupg@hartford-schools.org.  In the subject line please place the phrase "parent email".  In the body of the email please tell us your student(s) name and what school they attend.

Update: To date we have collected a total of 31 email addresses through the HPS website.  Our initial goal is 500 email addresses.  Please spread the word that we want to pass along all the wonderful happenings at HPS via email.
