New USDA Regulations Require Schools to
Serve Healthier Low-Calorie Meals
Hartford students are now being served a different lunch than in prior years.
The USDA has developed new regulations for all school meals making them healthier and lower in calories.
District Food Service Staff members have been busy fine-tuning our lunches to meet the new federal guidelines.

under the National School Lunch Act, signed by President Harry Truman in 1946.

Applications for Free and Reduced Lunch Program (FRLP) are available at the students school or can be submitted online via the Student Food Service Account web portal.
